Boys of the Great BB Gun War is a coming of age story about a group of friends who form a club devoted to honing their combat skills for what they believe will be Americas eventual return to Vietnam. This book, which is meant to be the first part in a three part series, can be raw and quite juvenile at times, but I think within reason. I wanted to keep it as true to life as possible in regards to the language and actions of teenage boys, especially when interacting with the opposite sex. Marcus struggles to do good as he discovers he is different from other kids- he has some unusual powers that takes him down a path he never expected. Everything happens for a reason and in the end it becomes hard to distinguish right from wrong and you may find yourself rooting for the bad guys.
Combining conspiracy theory, Gnostic biblical history and fantasy, the future will be a scary place when everything ancient becomes new again.
